Brighton Railway Station is the principal railway station of Brighton and Hove, East Sussex and is a convenient station for residents as it is on the end of a bus line through Henfield. In terms of the number of passengers that use the station, it is considered as the 8th busiest station in England outside of London.

The station provides a number of fast and frequent connections to Gatwick Airport and London Victoria, as well as through Central London via London Bridge, Blackfriars, London St. Pancras and Bedford on the Thameslink route. Most trains to and through London use the Brighton Mainline of which Brighton is the terminus stop.
