Henfield and District Lions

The Lions Club International is a global organisation with 46,000 clubs in 207 different countries, all active in local community projects. All Lions have the same goal – to help people less fortunate than themselves. The Henfield and District Lions have another aim as well – to have fun whilst fundraising!

During 2016 we have held several fundraising events, including a jumble sale, Race Night and a Quiz Night; we have run stalls at Smalldole Summer Fete and supported Cowfold's Summer Fete; all of these activities resulted in donations to local charities.

Socially, we have enjoyed a fish'n'chip supper in a garden, a meal out at The Fox in Smalldole, had an old fashioned games night and buffet, Sunday lunch at The Hove Dog Track and still to come our Henfield Charter Night, and of course our Christmas meal.

Being a Henfield Lion is very rewarding - it really does feel good to give something back to the community you live in.

We enjoy fundraising and socialising and would welcome anyone who would like to come and join in with our activities. If you'd like to come along to one of our meetings or fundraising events to find out a bit more about us, just give Lion David a ring on 01273 494442.

David will arrange to meet you at the venue and introduce you to everyone. You will be made very welcome.

Race Night Raises Funds for School

Henfield Lions raised more than £1,000 with a race night at St. Peter’s School on Saturday – with half going towards new equipment for the school and the rest to charity.

What do we do?

What do we do?

We raise money for good causes, locally and further afield. We meet socially as a group, enjoying informal meals out together, skittles evenings, games evenings.
