Notes of the Month...
In spite of the bitter cold hall a very good number attended our War Savings Association Meeting. The special speaker, Mr Herbert Warren, put     things very clearly and as a practical outcome it was decided to at once form a local Association. The weekly collection at Buckwish Laundry has again contributed a nice little sum for war work funds. If other bodies of workers could see their way to putting by an occasional coin it would be surprising how soon 10s. 6d. is raised. The Pound Day in Woodmancote on behalf of the Royal Sussex County Hospital was a new venture and kindly undertaken by Mrs West. It resulted in the pleasing sum of £3 5s.,15 lbs. groceries, four rabbits and one shirt.
