HART are a group of local residents who provide support to the Sussex Ambulance Service NHS Trust by responding early to serious medical and other life threatening conditions, including Heart Attacks, Drowning, Unconsciousness and Severe Bleeding The current 7 Responders, together with HART's founder, Dave Fletcher (in blue) are shown above. Responders, who are trained by the Sussex Ambulance Service do not replace the ambulance service but at their request, attend the scene prior to the ambulance arrival thus reduce the delay of providing skills such as Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation and Defibrillation. You can donate to HART through the HART BTmyDonate page.
