Sussex Harmony is a West Gallery Quire (instruments as well as singers) which practices regularly in Lewes and gives performances in period costume when invited. They have sung in many varied places, including weddings, funerals and for historical societies and museums. They are celebrating 25 years of singing with a tour of four historic churches, on Saturday 19th August, singing for half an hour or so at each. The last of the chosen venues is St Peter's Woodmancote where they will be starting to sing at 4pm. They say that they always sing better with an audience so if you would like to drop in for a while to hear the kind of music that your forefathers used to sing they will be pleased to see you. Sadly they won't be in costume on this occasion as the heavy clothes can be rather warm on a hot day in August on a coach trip.
