This is an area of outstanding natural beauty and diverse landscapes, chalk hills, ancient woodland, river valleys and wide open spaces for the visitor to enjoy.

Walking, cycling and horse riding are good ways to enjoy this beautiful area, there are a number of archaeological and historical sites to see including, Chanctonbury and Cissbury Ring ( Iron Age Hill Forts) and Devil’s Dyke.

The South Downs Way offers the visitor the opportunity to walk through ancient woodland and enjoy the great views and perhaps stop for a drink at one of the fine pubs along the way.
