Through the work of participants, Henfield's Festival of Gardens and Arts, Charities Received Donations  

The Festival of Gardens and Art have passed on to its three chosen charities, the Warren Playgroup, the Henfield Youth Club and the Henfield Library the monies donated by visitors and participants in this popular festival. Each charity has been sent a cheque for £500 and should more to trickle in this will be also be passed on. These charities have already written back thanking all that contributed and have indicated what exciting things they intend to do with the monies received. 

The organising committee of this popular annual Festival also notes that over the weekend, collections for the other charities raised £7264.69. This money was raised by those who opened their gardens and venues and who preferred to collect for a charity of their own choosing.  

We once again thank all those who participated and sponsored us, thus helping to make this a great success. As always it is taken on trust that all venues passed monies to their preferred charities and again thank all those that have provided us with receipts.   

It should not be a surprise that the organising committee has continued to work and is soon to begin the process of planning 2018’s Festival event during which it will consider any tweaks or changes to the format and arrangements and will welcome any feedback via ).

An important date to note in the diary is the AGM, to which we welcome all the garden owners and venue representatives to attend and take part in discussions, is on Monday 6th November. The meeting will start at 8 pm and the venue will be advised at the earliest.   

The other dates to note are next year’s festival! These are Saturday 9th and 10th June 2018.   We hope many will support us and join in the fun again
