Organised by the Medical Practice, and hosted by Friends chairman Peter Bates and his team of helpers and facilitators, over 80 people from across the community, including caring organisations, congregated at the Haven.

Dr Karen Crawford Clarke began the meeting with a presentation concerning loneliness amongst the elderly, calling for ideas on how the many community organisations and residents of Henfield could work alongside the Medical Practice to help improve the lives and health of of the more vulnerable in our society.

A copy of the presentation is available at this link.

Attendees then split up into 4 facilitated groups to discuss both the scope of the problem and how it might be addressed. Many interesting ideas were developed, and these will be now analysed by the Practice and Friends before being published for further debate.
