Do bring a picnic rug, relax, and enjoy the day and remember that at 5.30 pm until 7 pm there will be Live Music outside the Cricket Pavilion with local band Sonic Deluxe.
The playing field was originally constructed in memory of all those local residents who fell in the Second World War and this event has been organised to celebrate the re-opening of the Memorial Field with a re-dedication of the newly refurbished memorial stone. .
Thus the opportunity has been taken to recognise that for many years an annual sports day was held on Henfield Common and what better way is there to bring in the spirit of the times to revive some of the traditional games that have been played in the village for in some cases hundreds of years.
Along with volunteers, the event is supported by The Food & Drink Our food providers which are local businesses and organisations that will be familiar to our residents as they have attended other village events and proved to be hugely popular.
