Jo Cox’s wish was to bring communities together. The Great Get Together is an initiative of the Jo Cox Foundation. In Henfield it takes place on Saturday 23rd June. This is bang in the middle of the national event that takes place over 22nd – 24th June..

The theme this year is gingham. Henfield's volunteers we will be busy making gingham bunting to decorate the High Street on Thursday 24th May in the Free Church Hall from 7 pm. Everyone is welcome and you won’t have to sew!

Our High Street's "Great Get Together" will be an all-day event and it’s our opportunity to show what a friendly place Henfield and its High Street are. The enthusiasm of our High Street businesses and local organisations in participating is palpable!

There will be a whole host of activities on and around the High Street, something to suit every age group. Fuller details will be published nearer the time. Meanwhile come along to our Sewing Bee and make a note of the date to come and join us on the High Street.

The Jo Cox Foundation was established in September 2016 to channel the energy and determination generated by Jo's life and her murder when attending to her constituents into practical efforts to advance the causes she championed.

This includes exploring and fostering what we have in common.

Make note of the dates:

Thursday 24th May in the Free Church Hall from 7 pm - make bunting
