The Covid-19 pandemic has brought out a lot of good in our society and we have seen that in abundance in Henfield; many residents have volunteered and have walked dogs, done shopping and collected prescriptions for those who are more vulnerable. Thank you to all those who have given up their time and continue to do so.

As we approach winter we will all need to keep an eye on each other. If you have a neighbour that lives alone, or who is frail, please give them a call every now and again to see if you can help them out and carry on being a “Good Neighbour”.

The Helpline is still running and receiving a few calls a week but, because we have a reduced number of volunteers than at the height of the Lockdown, we are not always able to react as quickly as we were able to, so please give us a little notice if you can.

The NHS Volunteer Service is still running and likely to continue until March 2021. Like the Helpline they also have fewer volunteers so sometimes their responses are slower than they were. Their number is 0808 196 33 82
