The Association has been able to arrange a socially distant and totally safe environment to enjoy an evening of Spanish flavoured entertainment that complies with lockdown restrictions, and also raises much needed funds not only for the Association but for the Henfield Haven, a charity that was left devastated during lockdown after its management deserted it, leaving only volunteers to run this much needed facility for our area’s infirm and elderly folk.
The event is being held in the wonderful Prairie Gardens, which is usually a ticketed visit, amongst a gardener’s delight of unusual and exotic plants. We will be sitting in the lawn area on benches and tables, but please feel free to bring your own picnic chairs and tables if you want to stay extra safe.
A bar will be open all evening for refreshments and a Spanish meal is being cooked in the gardens, being served on disposable plates and cutlery. Andrew Griffith MP will be with us and will give a brief introduction to the highlight of the evening, which is a performance by an internationally acclaimed Flamenco dancer and accompanied by Spanish guitar.
If you’ve never experienced a flamenco ‘tablao’, this is an experience not to be missed. There is ample onsite parking and fully cleansed toilet facilities are available. We will aim to finish by dark, but there will be lighting provided to get you back to your cars after the event.
If the weather is unfavourable, we have arranged an alternative date of the following Friday (August 28th) and we will email or phone you in at the start of the week if the forecast shows rain.
Our team will do all we can to make this work and for you all to enjoy an unforgettable experience!
