Henfield's first flu fair delivered vaccinations to some 250 people in the course of a Saturday morning with the added interest of discovering more about some of the many services and businesses available in the village.
From Patricia's podiatry service in the Medical Centre to the befriending service run by Alex from Henfield Haven to help people who are isolated at home, there is lots of support available in our community.
Sarah from the Medical Centre was selling home-baked cakes to raise money for Breast Cancer Care, while Gill and Lynna (below) showed people how they could find all this information on the Henfield Hub. Gill's reaction: "It was really enjoyable to meet so many people from Henfield, Partridge Green and the surrounding area." "We got such a lot of positive feedback from our users." added Lynna.
The Art Club was also on display (below right) as was the tempting range of meals on offer for home delivery from Wiltshire Farm Foods.
Peter from The Friends was there to remind us that 16th October is an important date for anyone interested in Mental Health and Wellbeing, with a big event taking place at the Henfield Hall.
While all this was happening the vaccinations proceeded with smooth efficiency and barely a noticeable scratch!
The second Flu Fair will now be on SATURDAY 13th OCTOBER. It is already booking up but the popularity has been such that the Medical Centre is considering holding another at a later date.
And you can still book your flu jabs at the Medical Centre clinics during October.
