Conductor Laureate Barry Wordsworth will be directing three of this season’s concerts, including Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No.3 with the marvelous Steven Osborne as soloist.
The season begins with the Brighton Festival Chorus in October as they celebrate their 50th anniversary.
We welcome back Ben Gernon to conduct Mozart and Beethoven with the magical violinist Tamsin Waley-Cohen, and Thomas Carroll who will be performing the Schumann Cello Concerto as well as directing the orchestra.
Popular guest conductor Richard Balcombe returns on new Year’s Eve and Stephen Bell brings his experience with the orchestra to bear on a moving programme which includes Richard Strauss’ Four Last Songs.
In november Freddy Kempf displays his amazing talent in a performance of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No.3 and directs the orchestra in Rossini and Dvo?ák. Every concert is an exciting feast of music.
