When fully operational later this year, the wind farm will generate enough electricity to power the equivalent of around 347,000 homes, almost half of all the homes in East & West Sussex, including the city of Brighton & Hove. This will save almost 600,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions each year.

Rampion has also announced a £4million community fund, including:

• £100,000 donation to local RNLI stations who help save lives at sea

• £800,000 investment in a Rampion Visitor Centre which will open in Brighton later this year.

• £3.1million Rampion Fund for local projects to benefit the Sussex community.
