We are a friendly lacemaking group with a mixture of ages. We have the expertise within our group to introduce anyone to the craft of lacemaking should they be keen to learn. We are passionate about keeping the craft of lacemaking alive and welcome new members from beginners to the experienced, all at just £3 per session! Bobbin lace is made on a special pillow made of straw or, more commonly, polystyrene and with thread wound onto specially made wooden or bone bobbins. A pattern is attached to the pillow.
We meet at The Gladys Bevan Hall in Upper Beeding on the first and third Tuesday every month from 2pm until 4pm. Parking is no problem, the Village Hall has its own car park.
Please telephone us if you plan to come.
Members attended the showcase event at Beeding Village Hall on the 6th April, to promote the group and the craft of lacemaking.
