Are you a local man 20-60? (no discrimination- any age if you are keen) Bored on a Wednesday night? Seen Morris men out and about over the years?   Why not give Morris a try?! Come and see us at Woodmancote Parish Hall on a Wednesday night between 8-10pm!   If you are interested in giving Morris dancing a try, you can come along to any practise session (no strings [or bells] attached), although its best to check with the bagman in advance. Turning up and taking a look doesn’t commit you in any way.   How do I learn to dance Morris? We practise from 8pm- 10pm on Wednesdays from October to April  at Woodmancote Parish Hall, near Henfield, West Sussex,  usually followed by a couple of pints at the ‘local’ (The Royal Oak at Wineham)   Where are you based? Men come from Horsham in the North, Polegate and Lewes in the East and from Midhurst in the West.  But most men are within a few miles of Chanctonbury Ring on the South Downs.   Do I need any experience or skills? No. Although some men have been in Morris for a ‘lifetime’, there are quite a few who have joined in the last few years, and aged from 20’s to 60’s. Just try an hour - and if it’s not for you, walk away. Sorry girls, CRMM is a men-only team.   What about musicians? New musicians are most welcome. Whether accordion, melodeon, fiddles, drums or whatever, come along and talk to us.   What’s in it for me? Fun exercise through the winter Evenings out, and occasional weekend events, through the summer Appreciation by the public! Get a warm feeling! A few beers in some great pubs! Knowledge that you are helping to keep an ancient tradition alive in Sussex
