Henfield Action for Older People

We are a small group of volunteers, who come under the umbrella of the Community Partnership.

Our main role is to inform older people and their carers who live in and near Henfield about services that are available to them.

We publish an information leaflet, the Directory of Services for Older People in Henfield, which we update every two to three years. The latest is the 4th update, and this time round it has undergone a major revamp. The biggest change is the introduction of web and email addresses for the first time. The Directory is also available by clicking on the title below.

In June each year, we hold an annual meeting where speakers can provide more in depth information. The meetings are free as are the excellent refreshments provided during the break.

Lastly, we give help, information and advice to service providers, who either want to start up a new initiative in Henfield, such as the Age UK day club or who are looking for ways to get information about the services they offer across to older Henfield residents.

We are always on the search for new members. If you would like to join us please give Hugh Daniels a ring on 494317.

New Directory of Henfield Services for Older People

The Henfield Community Partnership Action for Older People Group has printed a new version of the Directory of local health and social care services, especially aimed at older people in the village, but useful for all. It will shortly be distributed to every house in Henfield.
