With a major charity having its base in Henfield, and very few Saturday mornings where one or another good cause isn’t holding a flag day, the village certainly plays a full role in the support of local and national charities.

Tired but elated, the 9 cyclists and their back-up team have just pedalled the final lap from Newhaven to the "New" Haven. Not to be defeated by the vast open reaches of Northern France, nor the cold, wind and snow of the Sussex Downs, they enjoyed a warm welcome - and bacon butties and bubbly - on arrival.
