The Henfield Haven opened in November 2015 under the management of Henfield Social Enterprise Community Interest Company. HSECIC signed a 25 year lease with WSCC and undertook a contact to provide High Needs care and related activities. The CIC then appointed Brighton-based charity Impact Initiatives to run the Haven in partnership. Following changes in the rules governing Charitable Incorporated Organisations (CIO) the board of directors of the CIC decided to apply to the Charities Commission to become such an entity. This change occurred on 31st May 2019 when the directors of HSECIC became trustees of the newly-formed Henfield Haven CIO. On 2nd June 2020, it was announced that the Henfield Haven CIO had been awarded the prestigious Queen's Award for Voluntary Services, the MBE for Volunteer Groups. Digby Stephenson is the Chair of Trustees, and would be delighted to hear from anyone willing to offer volunteer help or to donate, if appropriate via Gift Aid. The Charity number of the Henfield Haven CIO is 1183669 To read more about the background to the creation of the Henfield Haven please use this link. https://www.henfieldhub.com/henfield-social-enterprise/henfield-social-enterprise-cic
