CPRH is set up to protect and enhance the rural heritage of our village. Our first challenge was to retain the character and beauty of south-west Henfield which was threatened with development alongside Sandy Lane, outside the village boundary. We won the case, and the appeal, but now have to fight a re-submission by the same developer. We have also fought a proposed development in the middle of the Adur floodplain and we are working with other community groups to protect sites that are under threat of development as part of the Horsham strategic plan. Read more about our campaign here. Join the discussion on our Facebook page or e-mail us to get involved and help to protect Henfield's heritage.
The Friends of St Peter's Church are bound together by a common concern for the history of our village and particularly for that ancient part of our heritage - the fabric and structure of our parish church. The Friends are a group of people from all walks of life, not necessarily members of the St Peter's congregation. Aims • To raise funds for the on-going restoration of St Peter's Church. • To ensure the provision of an increasingly valuable asset for the use of the whole community. Benefits of membership • Annual programme of events • Priority booking, with a range of attractive discounts, for events promoted by The Friends. • Summer Barbeque and a seasonal gatheraing over the Christmas period. • The opportunity for building new friendships in the wider community.
