The sun shone, it was lovely and warm and everyone was smiling and happy - so different from the torrential rain on Easter Monday last year.

Outside the church there was a raffle with a tempting array of prizes. a bric-a-brac stall with a wide selection of items from books, jigsaw puzzles, china and jewellery to a selection of hand-knitted scarves and a very colourful plant stall with bright eye-catching flowers.

Inside the church porch visitors were greeted by two spectacular floral arrangements either side of the main door - a taste of what was to come as inside there was a feast of flowers everywhere including a pretty Easter Garden.

A yummy selection of cakes were on sale and coffee and biscuits were served for people to enjoy whilst listening to a superb organ recital.

Our small friendly church was delighted to welcome so many newcomers to the village as well seeing lots of old friends. And - best of all- we have been able to hand over £421.10 to our church Fabric Fund.

Thanks to everyone that contributed - the 'Holy Dusters' for cleaning the church, the flower arranging team, the organist, the coffee people, the cake makers, the stall holders and all those that donated items for sale or for the raffle. We could not have done it without you.
