A good crowd filled the George to enjoy a fun evening of live music (and more than a few jokes). Henfield regulars mixed with talented newcomers like Nikki Loy (above) who played and sang her own compositions and visiting musicians from as far afield as Eastbourne.

The evening raised about £250 for The Brain Tumour Charity as a follow on from the Walk for Olivia Pugh around Henfield on 27th October. Landlord Chris donated £5 from each meal served and Mike Ainscough ran a sweepstake to guess the number of people who took part in the Walk - Mike had filmed the walkers then freeze frame counted them! The right answer? - 670!

The acoustic club meets at the George on the second Sunday of every month. If you play an instrument or sing, do come along and join in. Or just enjoy the music!

The George plans to hold future Open Mic events in support of other charities of local interest.
