With over 50,000 users in two years, the Hub is popular well beyond Henfield. We have had visitors from as far afield as New Zealand and Canada because families and friends use it to keep in touch.
More and more clubs and societies are using the Hub to post information about their events and activities. Asked what is most popular, Hub Chairman Steve Bailey said “Most people come for the news stories and the calendar to find out what’s on in Henfield, but the Freecycle and For Sale notice boards are always popular and we’re starting to see local jobs being advertised as well.
“We’ve been able to help the village with projects like the Neighbourhood Plan and we’ve helped many charities publicise their campaigns and raise money for good causes. We’ve also been able to contribute directly, like helping to start the Computer Club for older people who want to get online.
"We’re delighted to have won a community award already but we have a lot more to do with many exciting plans for the future. Thank you to all the many people who have helped make the Hub a success.”
